Main plugin settings

Authorization

To proceed with the plugin setup, you need to complete the authorization process.

In the WooCommerce plugin settings (1), go to the shipping settings window (2).

After installing the Unisend plugin, you'll notice a new section called "Unisend" (3) within the shipping settings.

Use the provided login details (4) to authenticate the plugin.

Attention: Authorization is only available for Unisend clients with a service contract and enabled API access.

Sender information

In the sender's information section, it is required to enter the sender's name, e-mail address, phone number and address. The information specified in this section will be visible in the printed documents.

Pickup information

Checkbox to confirm and provide the pick-up address details if you need a courier pick-up or if your pick-up address differs from the previously provided sender's address.

The information provided in this section will be used as the main address where the courier will come to pick up the prepared packages.

Validation of the recipient's address.

With validation enabled, the buyer won't be able to input an incorrect address during the order process. Additionally, if the entered address contains minor errors, it will be automatically corrected.

Call courier

When preparing packages for courier pickup, the courier will be called automatically.

The courier will be called for those shipments that have the status "Awaiting courier call".

Select the days on which you wish to schedule a courier call at the chosen time.

If you do not want to automatically call the courier, leave the days field empty. In this case, you can manually request the courier from the order list.

To use the manual or automatic courier call feature at a scheduled time, coordination with Unisend is required for service activation. If this service is not enabled, the courier will be called automatically after each shipment is created.

Shipping methods

Shipping settings

In the "Shipping" window (2) of WooCommerce settings (1), select the shipping zones (3) to which you want to apply the Unisend shipping methods. Each shipping zone may have its own shipping methods.

Here is an example of how to add the shipping method "Parcel to a parcel locker" if you will personally dispatch the goods from a parcel locker.

After completing steps 1-7 as mentioned above, proceed to add any additional required shipping methods.

Here is an example of the process for adding multiple shipping methods:

Understanding shipping method configurations

Shipping size

Specify your most commonly used parcel size, which will be used as the default when creating shipping labels.

If you want to use a different size than the default for individual orders, you can adjust it before creating the shipment in the order window.

Shipping rates

Weight Based Shipping

To implement a variable shipping price based on the weight of the shipment, choose "Shipping Price Type" > "By Weight".

Shipping class costs

If the pricing of your product is dependent on other individual parameters, such as non-standard sizes or extremely heavy weights, you can assign an individual shipping price specifically for selected products using shipping classes.

First, create delivery classes in WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Classes. Assign the created classes to the relevant products. For each shipping method, define prices for individual shipping classes using the "Shipping class costs" option.

Cash on delivery (COD)

To enable cash on delivery, you need to activate and associate it with the shipping methods to which you wish to apply this payment method.

In the WooCommerce settings (1) page, within the "Payments" section (2), activate the "Cash on delivery" method and click on its name.

In the page that opens, in the section 'Enable for shipping methods' (3), select the Unisend delivery methods you need for which you want to apply the COD delivery method.

Here is an example of the process to activate the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment method:

Printing labels and manifests

Bulk labels printing

Printing labels can be done in two ways. The first method includes generating labels through a bulk action, covering all selected orders at once. The second method is used when one or several labels are created for the same order, especially if the shipment consists of multiple parts. For bulk label generation: Select the orders for which you want to generate labels (marked) in the list of orders. Choose "UNISEND Print Shipping Labels" in the Bulk Actions list. Click the "Apply" button.

Labels will be printed based on the default settings you specified for each shipping method.

You can view and manage Unisend shipments in a dedicated page designed specifically for Unisend orders.

In this page, you can easily:

The order status for the corresponding shipments is updated during the shipment creation stages.

label for a single shipment.

If you wish to create a shipment individually for one order, you can edit the shipment data in the order review page. In the order page, you will see the UNISEND section, which will allow you to edit the settings for a single shipment.

In the order actions section, select "Create Shipping Parcel" (1) and press the "Update" button (2).

In the UNISEND section (3), there will be an option to modify the selected shipping method from the order. Here, you can alter the default shipment size, the number of shipment parts, and CN declaration information. After updating the shipment information, click the "Save Changes" button (4).

You can print the label by choosing "Print Shipping Label" (5) in the "Order actions" section and clicking the "Update" button next to the selection box.

Manifest printing

To print the manifest, in the order page, within the "Order actions" list, you need to choose "Print Manifest" and click the "Update" button next to the selection box.

Alternatively, you can do this by choosing "UNISEND call courier and generate manifest" from the bulk actions in the order list page.

CN declarations

You can input or modify CN declaration information in the order page within the Unisend section. Click the "Edit CN" (1) button and complete the form (2) displayed in the modal window. After completing the form, close the window (3) and click the "Save Changes" button (4).

The data provided for CN declarations is automatically generated, so this step is only necessary if you want to modify the information that has already been generated. After correcting the declaration information, when generating the sticker, the CN declaration will be automatically added along with the label; there is no need to print it separately. You can print the CN declaration in the order page or in the order list through bulk actions by selecting Bulk Actions > UNISEND Print Shipping Labels.

Shipment tracking

To track the shipment status, click on the Tracking Number in the order page. This action will open a pop-up window displaying the Tracking Information.
